Support policy

Placket is made by Devoptly. This page explains what support you get with the theme and how to ask for it.

How to contact us

Please read the FAQ first. Many questions are answered there.

Response time

We reply to support requests within 24 hours on working days (Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM IST). Support is provided in English.

Custom work

We may offer paid services such as customization, app integration and help with theme updates. These are separate from the theme price and are not part of support. Ask us at devoptly@gmail.com for details. You can also hire a Shopify Partner.

Before you change code

If you want to change code yourself:

  1. Duplicate your theme first (Online Store > Themes > Actions > Duplicate).
  2. Make your changes in the copy.
  3. Test the copy on a computer and a phone.
  4. Publish the copy only when it works.

Code edits can stop automatic updates. See Updating the theme.

What to include in your request

You help us help you faster when you include:

  1. Your store address (for example yourstore.myshopify.com).
  2. The page where the problem happens (a link).
  3. The theme version (1.0.0) and the preset (Placket or Bodice).
  4. What you expected and what happened.
  5. Steps to repeat the problem.
  6. A screenshot or short screen recording.
  7. The browser and device you use.
  8. The preview link of your theme, if the theme is not published yet. We will not make changes to your store without your permission.

Access to your store

You never need to share your admin password. If we need to look at your store, we ask for access in a way you control:

  • Collaborator request code (optional). Shopify gives you a 4-digit code under Settings > Users > Security. If you add it to the support form, we can request collaborator access to your store admin. You still approve the request in Shopify, and you can remove access at any time.
  • Storefront password (optional). Only add it if your store is still behind a password page. This is the password visitors type to see the storefront, not your admin password. It is sent to our support team by email and is not saved on our website.

Never send your admin password, by the form or by email.

Reviews

If the theme helps you, please leave a review in the Shopify Theme Store. If something went wrong, please talk to us first, so we can fix it.
