Custom code and apps
Two sections let you add things the theme does not include: your own code, and app content.
Custom Liquid
Adds your own HTML, CSS or Liquid code. It can be added to any page.
Editor name: Custom Liquid. Where you can add it: Any page.

Spacing: Top padding (80 px, 0 to 200 px), Bottom padding (80 px, 0 to 200 px). These add space above and below the section.
Tips
- The code can be up to 50 KB.
- Always duplicate your theme before you add code (Online Store > Themes > Actions > Duplicate). A mistake in custom code can break a page.
- Support does not cover custom code. See the support policy.
- To add code inside a product page, use the Custom Liquid block in Product information or in Featured product.
Apps
A place for blocks from apps you installed, such as reviews or a loyalty widget. It can be added to any page.
Editor name: Apps. Where you can add it: Any page. Blocks: up to 8.

Blocks
App block. Add blocks from apps you have installed (see Apps and app blocks).
Tips
- Install an app that supports theme app blocks (look for "Theme app extension" or "App blocks" in the app's description).
- In the theme editor, open a page and select Add section > Apps.
- Select Add block and pick the app's block.
- App blocks can also be added inside Product information and Featured product (look for the app name in Add block).
- Some apps need you to turn on an app embed. In the editor, select the App embeds icon in the left bar and turn the app on.
- App content is not covered by theme support. See the support policy.
